This policy explains what personal data Komo Atelier ("Komo Atelier", "we", "us") collects when you join our community or use this site, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the rights you have over it. We collect only what we need, and we never sell your data.
Who is responsible for your data
Komo Atelier is the data controller for the personal information collected through this site. For any privacy question, request, or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@komoatelier.studio.
Komo Atelier operates internationally. Where we sell into or process data of individuals in the European Union, an EU representative is appointed under Article 27 GDPR; their contact details are available on request at the email above.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your first name (optional), your email address, and your marketing consent when you join our community or waitlist.
- Information collected automatically: basic technical and usage data such as your device type, browser, approximate region, and how you interact with the site. Where required, this is only collected after you consent.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To send you what you asked for (first access to collections, members-only offers, our Almanac and updates) — based on your consent.
- To run and improve this site and keep it secure — based on our legitimate interest.
- To measure and improve our advertising (including via the Meta Pixel and similar tools) — based on your consent.
Marketing emails
If you join our community we will send you brand updates, new collection news, and members-only offers. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or by emailing us. Unsubscribing does not affect any processing carried out before you opted out.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to understand how it is used, and to measure our advertising. Non-essential cookies, including advertising and analytics tools such as the Meta Pixel, are only set with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time through your browser settings or the site's cookie controls where available.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with trusted service providers who help us operate, strictly under contract and only for the purposes above:
- Hosting and secure storage — our website and signup records are hosted on Netlify.
- Customer and email platform — our customer database and email delivery are managed for us by our marketing partner.
- Advertising — Meta Platforms, where you have consented to advertising measurement.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for others' independent marketing.
International transfers
Because we operate internationally, your data may be processed outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your information.
How long we keep it
We keep your signup and contact data for as long as you remain in our community, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@komoatelier.studio and we will respond within the time required by law.
If you are in the EU and believe we have not handled your data properly, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example, the CNIL in France or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands).
Children
This site and our community are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
